Charity is often found in the most unlikely of places. While flying a few months ago, California businessman Shlomo Rechnitz found himself in Shannon, Ireland. While the plane was refueling, he noticed that about 400 United States soldiers were in the airport eating cold army food. He approached their commander and asked if he could sponsor a hot meal for them. When the commander agreed, Rechnitz announced that each soldier could spend up to $50 at any restaurant of their choice in the airport. See the video below of his brief words of appreciation to the soldiers.
Sometimes the opportunity to do something good comes from a very unexpected place.
